Meet the BuildingEnergy Boston Content Committee

The content of BuildingEnergy NYC is curated by a volunteer committee of NESEA members, who collectively put in hundreds of hours throughout the year to ensure that sessions are data-driven, diverse and genuinely useful to attendees. 2018 Conference Co-Chairs

Loic Chappoz leads the Multifamily team for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). He joined NYSERDA in 2014. Prior to his work with NYSERDA, Loic worked as an independent consultant on energy efficiency policies in France, as a fuel efficiency specialist in the airline industry, and as a commercial pilot for ten years. Loic Chappoz received a Master of International Affairs in Energy and Environmental Policy from the Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs, and was a visiting student at Columbia University in New York City.
Leia Sims currently leads Sustainability Services at KOW Building Consultants, and was most recently Program Officer of Green Technical Services at Enterprise. Prior to that she was an owner/managing member of Bright Alternatives, where she completed over 2,500 energy plans, and a Multifamily Energy Analyst at Steven Winters Associates.

Leia holds a BS in Building Construction from Virginia Polytechnic and State University.

2018 Conference Vice-Chairs

Laura Humphrey is a sustainability professional specializing in market transformation programs relating to energy efficiency and building performance. She currently works as a Senior Manager at ICF International as part of the leadership team for the Northeast energy efficiency division. Prior to ICF, Laura worked with NYSERDA as Senior Project Manager for Multifamily Programs. In 2013 she received her M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University.
Jodi Smits Anderson is the Director of Sustainability at DASNY, the Construction and Public Finance Authority of New York State. She is a member of the AIA, LEED AP BD+C and a GPRO Instructor. She has spoken throughout the region, including BuildingEnergy Boston, trained contractors, and has been an Albany TEDx speaker on TBL success.
