BEC is looking for a fun, hardworking, self-directed, and aspiring individual with a passion for building science to join our team and be a part of its growth. The Mechanical Engineer will exhibit strong communication skills, technical skills, self-management, and project management. The Mechanical Engineer manages client relations and is a team leader for applied building science projects, assisting with proposals, project administration and budgeting.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Participate in and conduct project meetings,
• Manage tasks to budget,
• Conduct client communications to the highest professional standards,
• Manage other team members,
• On-Site Inspections,
• Forensic Diagnostics and Testing,
• Design Review,
• Energy Modelling.

Minimum Requirements, Skills and Qualities:

• BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience, 10 years preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Ability to travel part of the time.
• The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have access to reliable transportation and clean driving license.
