Joy of the Journey Farm, LLC

686 Locust Grove Rd.
Greenfield Center , New York 12833
Phone: 518-260-3374

Welcome to our farm, where we make small batches of cold process soap.
You may ask what is cold process soap.
To sum it up, soap is salt! Together an acid and a base react with one another, using only the heat of the reaction (no external heat - cold process), and neutralize into salt (or soap). This chemical process is called saponification. It is true that the cosmetic industry must label ingredients. However, there is one exception which permits soap manufacturers to reveal only what they choose to reveal about their soaps. This makes it very difficult for consumers to know what they are using on their skin. All our soaps are labeled with the ingredients. We make our soap with easily accessible materials and without chemical additives.
