Viraj Puri is co-founder and CEO of Gotham Greens, an innovative, industry leading urban agriculture company based in Brooklyn, NY. The Company builds and operates commercial scale greenhouse facilities in cities for fresh vegetable production. Gotham Greens provides its diverse retail, restaurant, and institutional customers with a reliable, year-round supply of fresh, local, premium-quality produce grown under the highest standards of food safety and environmental sustainability. He has developed and managed start-up enterprises in New York City, Ladakh, India and Malawi, Africa focusing on green building, renewable energy, and environmental design. He has received fellowships from the TED conference, Wild Gift and the Environmental Leadership Program. Viraj is a LEED® Accredited Professional and received a B.A. from Colgate University.
