Gabrielle Brainard, AIA, LEED AP, is an architect and educator specializing in enclosure design. She has worked as a facade consultant with Heintges and Associates, and as a senior technical architect with SHoP Architects, where her projects included the design and execution of custom facades for 111 West 57th Street and Pier 17 at South Street Seaport.

Gabrielle's interest in the performance of building envelopes has led to research on thermal comfort in buildings, which has been supported by grants from Pratt's Faculty Development Fund (2016) and STEAMPlant (2018).
