As a professional and an advocate, from the 1970s Energy Crisis up to today’s Climate Emergency, Fred’s career trajectory has found him to be a leader in and a connector between the clean-energy and efficient-lighting fields.
Fred is President of Fred Davis Corporation, wholesale supplier of energy-efficient lighting products since 1983; active in multi-family, weatherization, municipal markets nationwide. Fred helped introduce the world to compact fluorescents, electronic ballasts, and, more recently, LED streetlights. He's presented on energy-efficient lighting worldwide and shares industry developments via Fred Davis Corporation's blog, the Lightening Volt.
As a long time NESEA enthusiast, Fred is grateful to have been awarded the 2019 Distinguished Service Award.
Fred is also VP of Jewish Climate Action Network and Chair of Medfield Energy Committee. He has served on the local and national boards of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and was President of the Urban Solar Energy Association.
